Guidelines and Regulations

1.   Sports & Recreation programs are part of outreach ministry of MCAC. The S&R Task Force Committee appointed by the Board looks after these programs. S& R Programs are open to all MCAC church members of various ages and their un-churched friends accompanied by them. Christian message, sharing and follow-up initiatives will be conducted as part of the program to provide opportunity of outreach, encouragement and spiritual inspiration.

 

2.   Sport and recreation equipments, except Ping Pong tables and those for tournament may be pre-booked for use But only authorized and trained set up volunteers crew are allowed to set up poles and nets to prevent damages. Trainings will be offered from time to time to recruit Christians to serve as equipment set up personnel.

 

3.   Portable sound system can be pre-booked for use. Other A/V equipments in gym storage are reserved for Church Worship services or events to be held in gym.. 

 

4.   No food or drink other than water is allowed when using gym. Light snack will be provided during S&R devotion time.

 

5.   Gym is not open for private or personal use.

 

6.   Gym is not available to community for rental at this time.

 

7.   No sports other than Badminton, Ping Pong, Volleyball, Basketball and Elementary gym recreation activities are allowed in Gym at this point.

 

8.   No Roller-skating, floor hockey, bicycles or marking shoes are allowed when using Gym.

 

9.   Gym is available for booking by official MCAC fellowships to hold special events. Priority will be given to outreach events. Pre-booking is required.

 

10.        Gym is available for booking by official MCAC adult small groups or fellowships. A minimum size of 2 small groups is required for the use of 1/2 gym. Pre-booking must be made at least 7 days in advance for space as well as for equipments. Only one booking at a time and no consecutive booking are allowed. Only one of the five types of S&R equipment can be pre-booked at one time. Equipments and poles can only be set up by authorized set up crew on duty. Ministry Priority rule applies.

 

11.        Subject to availability and priority of Church event or function, an official MCAC small group may book gym for children and teens activity while meeting for small group meeting in church provided the following conditions are in place:

a)   Adult supervision or fellowship counselors for children and teens at all time is compulsory. Minimum ratio of 1 adult to 10 children and/or teens must be maintained at all time. Pre-booking and registration of adult supervisors with church office are required. Restricted equipments rule applies: only elementary gym activity items can be pre-booked for use. No access to other sport equipment is allowed. If bringing own equipment, only those that post no risk to children, to church building and to Gym floor can be allowed.

b)   Individuals assume own injury liability and insurance.

c)   Only 1/2 gym can be booked at a time. A minimum 2 groups per 1/2 gym rule applies.

d)   Obey regulations or the privilege of using the gym may be forfeited.

 

12. Age guidelines for Sports: age 8 and up for Badminton and Ping Pong, Age 11 and up for Volleyball and Basketball.
